Vicolo Orsini Apartments, Barga
Two apartments
are available: No. 6 Vicolo Orsini, which sleeps six and
No. 4 Vicolo Orsini, which sleeps up to four. The two
apartments can be opened up to form one large space with two kitchens and three
bath/shower rooms.
Situated within
the medieval walls of the well-known town of Barga, these traditional,
stone-built properties sit just off the cobbled Via di Borgo, which links the
historic parts of Barga Vecchia (Old Barga) with Il Giardino, its modern
bustling centre.
A stone archway leads off Via di Borgo into cobbled Vicolo Orsini where the front doors of the two properties are located.
The properties,
parts of which are hundreds of years old, have recently been sympathetically
restored by skilled local artisans. They have worked together to recapture the
beauty of the homes with their stone and marble kitchen sinks, beamed chestnut
ceilings open fireplace (number 6), tiled and terracotta floors, wooden shutters
and traditional stone architraves. At the same time, the electrics and central
heating have been brought up to modern standards of safety and comfort
