Camelia Bianca is a wonderfully romantic little one-bedroom apartment tucked away in the historic old Town of Barga. Full of quirky details, it has recently been lovingly restored (2009) to create a home steeped in history but with many clean, modern features.
With a spacious bedroom occupying almost the whole of the upper floor and a comfortable, open-plan living area below, it makes a fantastic choice for honeymoon couples or other romantics who want to explore Barga old and new.
Outside, there is a terrace area and garden with plenty of space for outside dining and with views towards the Apennine ridge.
The main door opens directly into the beautifully-furnished sitting area with kitchen and dining table to the rear. The ancient stone walls and wooden ceiling contrast nicely with the modern fittings and fixtures.
A stone staircase leads to the upper floor with its solid-wood floor and beamed ceiling. Here there is a beautiful double bed and a chaise longue. Off the bedroom area is the shower room which, like the rest of the apartment, has been completely renovated.
All in all, a small but perfectly-formed apartment for dreamers and historians.
