This romantic, stone-built, rural village house with a sunny garden and
spectacular views makes an ideal retreat from the stresses of city life,
although Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (a bustling market town) is only 10 km away
and the village of Sillicano, with its restaurant and shop, less than 3km
away.
Inside, there is a traditional feel with wooden and terracotta floors, open fire and chestnut-beamed ceilings but, at the same time, the house is well equipped with TV, DVD, CD and washing machine (as well as central heating for winter lets).
Access is by an attractive stone stairway which leads into the lounge with beamed ceilings and traditional terracotta floor. The kitchen / dining room and shower room are also on the ground floor. There is also an exit to the rear of the house leading to gardens at the back and side.
Stairs from the lounge allow access to the four bedrooms upstairs, which have a "country cottage" feel with wooden floors and beamed ceilings.
There are two beautiful double bedrooms and two large singles, but note that the staircase leads directly into one of the double bedrooms and access to the second double bedroom is through one of the singles. (There is no hall on the upstairs floor).
Outside, there is a wonderfully sunny grassed area with superb views across the local hills.
