La Casetta di Barga is a traditional house which has been beautifully and lovingly restored to form a wonderful 2-bedroom holiday home with private pool and gardens, and 2 bathrooms. Renovations have been carried out to the highest standard with modern fittings without destroying the original character of the house.
On the upper floor, the main door opens into an open-plan living dining and kitchen area with double sofa bed and attractive spiral staircase to the lower floor. The large sitting-room window affords fantastic views towards the imposing peaks of the Apuan Alps which lie between Mologno and the coast beyond.
There is also a kitchen with Carrara marble worktop and a shower room fitted and decorated to the highest standards.
A patio door from the lounge area leads directly to the terrace, gardens and swimming pool.
A beautiful spiral staircase leads to the lower level where there is a double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom. Patio doors in the double bedroom allow guests to step out to the lower garden.
Access to the house by public transport could not be easier as it is situated just 400m from Barga-Gallicano station on the Pisa / Lucca / Aulla line. Day trips to the centre of Florence, Pisa and Lucca can be made without the cost and stress of driving, parking and taxis.
