Three accommodation units are available at Pallunga:
La Capanna. Sleeps 2+1. From£250pw.
An airy studio apartment.
Casa Rondine. Sleeps 4+2. £390pw.
A beautiful two-bedroom apartment.
Casa Cristina. Sleeps 6. £390pw
A rustic house with two terraces.
Pallunga is a converted steading and registered "agriturismo" with a shared above-ground pool.
Set in 4.5 hectares of meadows and woodland in the beautiful Serchio
valley to the north of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Pallunga is an ideal base for those who want to explore the
local countryside; visit cities such as Florence and Pisa or simply want to relax in the peaceful and spacious
grounds of the steading.
Local facilities are to be found only 1.2km away in the village of Villetta where there is a baker's,
grocery store, two restaurants and a cafe. The village can be reached by car or by a wonderful
walk along the banks of the Serchio river, via the ancient village of Sambuco.
Villetta also has a railway station on the main Lucca-Aulla line.
Sillicagnana is around 2km away, while Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is around 10 mins by car.
The proximity of the train station in Villetta means that visits to the centres of Lucca, Pisa and
Florence can easily be made without the stress of
finding a parking space.
The owner is a qualified yoga instructor. Classes can be organised by arrangement for those who find lazing in the Tuscan sun with just a little bit too stressful.
La Capanna (sleeps 2 + 1)
£280 per week, July and August. £250 per week all other times.
La Capanna is a tastefully-decorated, open-plan studio apartment with shower room,double bed and sofa bed.
There are beamed ceilings and wooden flooring throughout.
The kitchen folds into a self-contained unit when not in use, adding to the sense of space, while
the bedroom area is screened off by an attractive wooden partition.
(Three single beds can be provided, if required.)
Outside, there is ample private space for al fresco dining and a hammock for sleeping off the effects of the meal.
All linen, towels etc. are provided.

A spacious 3-bedroom apartment which forms the lower half of the main dwelling at Pallunga.
Doors from the kitchen / dining room and from the lounge open directly onto a patio with a BBQ and table and chairs for outside dining.
The apartment is tastefully decorated throughout and has a bright, airy feel. There is a
double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a lounge with double sofa bed.
Equipped with a TV and video.
All linen, towels etc. are provided.

Casa Cristina (sleeps 6)
£390per week.
Casa Cristina is a traditional, detached, rustic house with 500sqm garden and two terraces.
On the ground floor, there is a double and a twin bedroom with wooden stairs leading from the
double bedroom to the living area on the first floor.
The external stone staircase leads directly to the first-floor veranda at the rear of the house
which is furnished with a large, wooden table in the style of a mountain ski lodge. The door from
the veranda leads into the kitchen / diner with its original fireplace. Off the kitchen is a double bedroom with
bathroom and TV. Note: access to the bathroom is through the bedroom.
At the front of the house is a large terrace with wonderful views towards the rugged mountains of the Apuan Alps.
All linen, towels etc. are provided.
